dÄHLer IP68 rated Valve Controller – NEW 2025 model

What does the new IP68 rated waterproof dÄHLer Valve Controller mean?

An IP68 rating, protects your dÄHLer Valve Controller (VC) from the harsh road elements you will encounter with the upmost resiliency of protection! “IP” stands for Ingress Protection, and the numbers indicate the level of protection against various elements. The “6” specifies complete protection against dust, keeping the VC internal components clean and safe. The “8” signifies that the VC can be submerged in water up to 1.5 meters (5 feet) deep for up to 30 minutes without damage.

Our VC is made from Polycarbonate UL 94 V0, the Standard for Safety of Flammability of Plastic Materials for Parts in Devices and Appliances testing, which rated tests for flammability of plastic.

V-0 burning stops within 10 seconds on a vertical specimen; drips of particles allowed as long as they are not inflamed.

Furthermore, our VC has an IK shock resistance level of 07, which corresponds to 2.0 joules. Briefly explained it can withstand an impact of 500g (1.1 lb) from a drop height of 40 cm (15.8”). In electrical engineering the IK shock resistance level refers to a measure of the resistance of components to impact and impact stress.
